The father of modern karate, Funakoshi Gichin formulated this pearl of wisdom in the beginning of the 20th Century. The essence of the art of karate has not changed since – this is why we have adopted the motto.
WHO ARE WE?
We are one of the youngest karate clubs in Belgrade, Serbia. We have only been around in this region for five years. Outside of Serbia - in Italy, Germany, Romania and Slovakia we have been operating for quite a while.
From the very beginning we have enlisted the top experts, trained karate coaches, physical culture pedagogues, sports medicine specialists and spors psychologists. Furthermore, in our ranks we have hundreds of members who are already winning medals in all competitions where we participate. Why is this? BECAUSE WE CREATE CHAMPIONS!
THE FOUNDERS AND VISIONARIES OF THE “EVROPA” KARATE CLUB
LIVIUS BUNDA (black belt 5 Dan), former Yugoslavia national team member, long – term selector of FRY, SCG and Serbia, currently appointed as trainer of the Slovenia national team. Trainer at the club headquarters in Belgrade.
MARIO MANINNI (black belt 6 Dan), former Italian national team member. As trainer achieved remarkable results with the national teams of Italy, Slovakia, Croatia and Romania.
FLORIN BOCA (black belt 4 Dan), one of the pioneers of karate in Romania.
COACHES
There are 9 highly qualified trainers working with the club full time who are current and former national team competitors. Additionally, the club cooperates with a number of on-call trainers from Italy, Slovenia, Romania, Slovakia, Montenegro, Serbia, as well as with a number of experts from universities and sports institutes across Serbia and Europe.
FRIENDS OF THE CLUB
Include a number of poets, writers, painters, university professors, musicians, sportsmen, enterpreneurs…
TRAININGS
Every day we organise training for a vast number of young sports people on seven locations in Belgrade.
MEMBERSHIP IN KARATE FEDERATIONS
The club is a member of the Karate Association of Belgrade and the Karate Federation of Serbia. Both of these organisations are members of the WKF and the EKF. We participate regularly in competitions organised by these federations.
